Nurtured Motherhood Circle
10 Week In-Person Circle for Mamas of little ones (0-18 months) and expecting mamas
For Pregnant Mamas & Mamas of Little Ones
A supportive circle for women preparing for birth, welcoming babies, and growing into motherhood.
This pregnancy and new mama circle is based on the bestselling book, The Nurture Revolution by Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum. Our mission is to teach mothers the science and the art of growing lifelong health for their babies and themselves - starting before birth and beyond!
What happens in a circle?
-We’ll walk down into the woods together (mamas with babies are encouraged to bring a carrier)
-You’ll be guided through a nourishing practice for you
-You’ll be guided through a practice to connect with your baby
-There will be an opportunity to learn about a new health promoting topic each week
-You’ll have the opportunity to share your experience, ask questions, and receive support
-We’ll share a healthy organic snack and homegrown tea
-We’ll walk back up from the woods together
While the circle is only 90 minutes, plan to be there for a total of 2 hours to account for the walk down to the woods and back.
Childcare is available for older siblings: $15 first child, $10 second child.
Topics:
Week 1 - Infant Brain Development & Parent Brain Development: How your baby's brain is actually built, and why connection—not correction—is the foundation from day one. Your brain is changing too. The neuroscience of matrescence and how becoming a parent reshapes you from the inside out.
Week 2 - Nurtured Presence & Nurtured Empathy: Reading and responding to your baby's inner world—building the empathic attunement that becomes their emotional home base. Learning to be fully present with your baby.
Week 3 - Baby Chats: How "serve and return" communication with your baby, long before words, builds language, trust, and connection.
Week 4 - Emotions and Needs: Seeing behavior as communication, so you can meet the need beneath the behavior in your baby, and in yourself.
Week 5 - Nurturing Infant Stress: Your baby's stress response system, and how your calm becomes their co-regulation, which is their first lesson in feeling safe.
Week 6 - Growing Space: Creating physical and emotional space that supports exploration, autonomy, and secure attachment.
Week 7 - Nurtured Infant Sleep: Sleep through a nurture lens, working with your baby's biology and attachment needs, not against them.
Week 8 - Ambivalence: Holding Two Feelings at Once: Permission to love this transition and grieve parts of your old life at the same time. Both are true.
Week 9 - Intuition and Interoception: Rebuilding trust in your body's signals, the quiet, wise information your nervous system has been sending all along.
Week 10 - Evoking Self-Compassion and Awe: Closing the circle by turning the nurture you've been learning to give your baby back toward yourself.
Who This Circle Is For:
-Pregnant and postpartum moms with babies who are not yet mobile (0-8 months)
-Those drawn to attachment-based, responsive parenting rather than rigid schedules and systems
-You want community with other mothers who are transforming alongside you
